Golden Triangle Regional Landfill

The Golden Triangle Regional Solid Waste Management Authority, also known as the Golden Triangle Regional Landfill, is a regional public landfill facility serving communities, businesses, industries, and waste haulers throughout the Golden Triangle area. Established through the cooperation of local cities and counties in the early 1990s, the Authority was created to provide a safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible long-term waste disposal solution for the region.

Our facility accepts non-hazardous solid waste, construction and demolition debris, industrial waste, and approved special waste. We also provide a public convenience area for residents with small loads, allowing individuals to dispose of household waste without entering the active landfill area. In addition, the Authority offers free disposal of non-business waste tires through a state-supported waste tire program and hosts an annual Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day for local residents.

While the words “Solid Waste Management” are part of our official name, the Golden Triangle Regional Landfill is not a residential trash pickup company. We do not provide curbside garbage collection, residential trash cans, billing services, route schedules, or missed pickup services. Those services are handled by your local city, county, or private waste collection provider.

Today, the Authority continues the mission established by regional leaders more than 30 years ago: providing dependable, environmentally responsible waste disposal services that support the health, growth, and quality of life of our communities.

Trash is disposed of in the landfill cell's felt layer.
